Endpoints and ports

Rotating residential, datacenter and mobile plans connect through one gateway host. The port you pick decides the protocol and whether your IP rotates. ISP proxies are static: each proxy has its own IP address and port, listed in your dashboard.

Connect with the host name rather than an IP address. The gateway routes each connection to the nearest available server, and its IP addresses can change.

Each sticky port holds its own IP, so use several ports to keep several IPs at once. Rotation and sticky sessions explains how long an IP stays on a port.

Which destination ports can I reach?Copy Anchor Link

Through the proxy you can reach websites and services on these ports: 80, 443, 53, 853, 5060, 5228, 8080, 8090, 8443, 8888. That covers ordinary web traffic on 80 and 443 and the common alternative web ports.

Ports used to send and read email, such as SMTP and IMAP, are blocked to keep spam off the network. A request to a blocked port returns 403 PORT_BLOCKED.

Government websites, banking and payment websites, adult websites and domains known to be harmful are blocked on the network to protect against fraud and abuse. Requests to them return 403 SITE_PERMANENTLY_BLOCKED. These blocks apply to every account and cannot be changed from the dashboard.

Connection limitsCopy Anchor Link

Each open connection to the gateway counts toward the limit, including idle keep-alive connections. Past the limit, new connections get 407 THREADS_EXHAUSTED. See Error codes for the full list.
